Elin covers politics, governance, data infrastructure, and the Grovik rights question. She is currently engaged in several ongoing investigations and response times may be extended. She does not use social media. Note: Elin Vangstad does not discuss the identity of her sources under any circumstances. Approaches asking her to do so will not receive a response.

We publish a selection of reader letters each week. Letters may be edited for length and clarity. Please include your full name and town of residence. Anonymous letters will not be published.

The Tribune office is open Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30. We do not operate a public walk-in service, but appointments can be arranged by email.

Confidential Sources

The Island Tribune takes source protection extremely seriously. If you have information you wish to share in confidence, we would encourage you to contact us using an encrypted email service such as ProtonMail. We will never reveal the identity of a confidential source — this commitment has been tested on two occasions in our history and has been maintained on both.
